Triton Elementary Hosts Trojan Pride Kickoff
Triton Elementary School’s fourth annual Trojan PRIDE kickoff is set to take place at Triton Elementary at 2 p.m. Thursday Sept. 18, in the Triton Elementary Gymnasium.
Trojan PRIDE is the Triton Elementary Positive Behavior Intervention Supports and is the recognition all of the hard work and effort that staff and students have put into showing characteristics they strive to achieve at Triton (personal responsibility, respect, integrity, determination and enthusiasm).
Each year the school has special guests that include Major League baseball player Eric Stults, 4H Princess Mallory Stuckey, and the Harlem Wizard basketball team. This year the school will invite Justin Vining, a Triton graduate. Justin has a teaching degree from Purdue University, a law degree from Valparaiso University and now is a full-time artist in Indianapolis. You can find out more about Justin and his art at http://justinvining.com/about/.
Justin will do a time lapse video of him painting a piece for Triton Elementary but will also unveil the 2014-2015 Official Trojan PRIDE t-shirt for our students to see for the first time. This shirt is earned by those students who show the characteristics of PRIDE throughout their day and in the community. Sixth grade students of TES have submitted drawings for the possibility of being the winning designer of the t-shirt. We hope you will be able to make this event and highlight some of the outstanding things happening at Triton Elementary School.
