Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Wednesday, Aug. 27, 8:15 a.m. East 450 North and North 100 East, Warsaw. Driver: Jack S. Moody, 54, North Warsaw-Oswego Road, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000.
Tuesday, Aug. 26, 7:49 a.m. West 125 North and North 950 West, Etna Green. Driver: Ryan A. Daily, 37, South 50 West, Peru. Daily was westbound on CR 125 North and encountered a tree that had fallen into the roadway. He was unable to avoid striking it. Damages: up to $2,500
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Tuesday, Aug. 26, 8:37 p.m. Kincade Street and Fisher Avenue. Drivers: Rebecca R. Hunter, 21, Weeks Street, Albion; and Austin R. Valentine, 15, East Center Street, Warsaw. Hunter said she stopped at the intersection of Kincade and Fisher, but failed to notice Valentine’s vehicle approaching northbound and pulled into its path. Damages: up to $2,500
Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1:15 p.m. 2856 Frontage Rd. Police were called to Carson’s department store where Audrey E. Daenzer of Fort Wayne reported her vehicle was damaged while she was inside. Damages: up to $5,000
Tuesday, Aug. 26, 12:36 p.m. North Detroit Street and West 250 North. Drivers: Donald Caudill, 71, North SR 15, Warsaw; and Meghann L. Wood, 34, Ranch Road, Warsaw. Caudill said he looked away from the road while approaching the traffic signal and rear-ended Wood’s vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
Tuesday, Aug. 26, 11:55 a.m. 388 Enterprise Dr. Driver: Jennifer L. Buell, 26, West 6th Street, Milford. Buell backed into a parked vehicle. Damages: up to $1,000
Tuesday, Aug. 26, 10:58 a.m. West Winona Avenue and Zimmer Road. Drivers: Raymond J. Kirchner, 37, Huffman Street, Winona Lake; and Larry W. Ingle, 52, 1st Road, Bremen. Kirchner was passing Ingle on West Winona Avenue and pulled back into the lane too soon, colliding with Ingle’s vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
