Meth Lab Leads To Four Arrests
Four people were arrested on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine in a Winona Lake trailer park Tuesday night.
Winona Lake Police say that at approximately 8 p.m., narcotics officers of the Winona Lake and Warsaw police departments responded to Lot 63 of Fair Lane Trailer Park, 1202 Wooster Road, to investigate a tip.
During the investigation, several drug paraphernalia items were observed in plain view, along with a one pot meth lab located inside the residence.
Present in the residence at the time of the investigation were the property renters, Joseph Werand and Christy Bodkin of Winona Lake. Additional persons located in the residence were Todd Raney of Rochester and James Page of Winona Lake. It was determined during interviews that the occupants had used methamphetamine together earlier in the day in the residence.
Two children, ages 9 and 10, were also present at the time of the investigation. The children were transported by Child Protection Services for medical evaluations.
Christy Bodkin and Joseph Werand were taken into custody and booked for Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Bodkins received and additional charge for Neglect of a Dependent.
Todd Raney was taken into custody and booked for Possession of Meth and Aiding in the Manufacturing of Meth.
James Page was taken into custody and booked for Visiting a Common Nuisance.
Clandestine Lab trained officers from Winona Lake and Warsaw police departments were assisted by the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab team in the cleanup of the lab.
