WCS Students Visit Costa Rica
July 9-16 was an exhilarating time for 15 Warsaw Community Schools students and three teachers. They took those days to explore Costa Rica, visiting two volcanos, rainforests and the Pacific Ocean.
Students were able to swim in the hot springs pools of Arenal, zip line through the Monteverde rainforest and swim in the Pacific Ocean. They also learned how to cook traditional Costa Rican food like empanadas, gallo pinto and prestino, in addition to learning traditional Costa Rican dances and playing games with local students.
In addition to these rich experiences, they were able to practice their Spanish, enriching the lives of others along the way. All agreed that it was an experience they will never forget.
