UPDATE: Vehicle Vs. Bicycle in Nappanee
UPDATE: According to a report from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, at 8:26 p.m. Thursday, July 24, Gary A. Kuhns, 24, 5th Road, Bremen, was traveling eastbound on CR 1350 North, approaching the intersection of 850 West. Kuhns stated he had a glare in his mirror from the sun and did not see the cyclist traveling on 1350 North.
Kuhn was unable to avoid colliding with the 15-year-old female on the bicycle. The cyclist complained of hip pain and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. After arriving at KCH, she was transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for unspecified injuries.
BREAKING: At approximately 8:30 p.m., we received a report of an accident involving a vehicle and a bicyclist at the 8600 block of 1350 North. According to scanner traffic, the cyclist is conscious, but sustained injuries to her head. Emergency personnel have been dispatched to the scene.
