Syracuse Police Department
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Monday, July 21, 3:56 p.m. North Huntington and West Pearl streets. Drivers: Marion E. Beezley, 34, East Carroll Street, Syracuse; and Kathryn K. Nisley, 30, West 200 South, Bourbon. Beezley was traveling too fast to stop for Nisley’s vehicle, which was traveling in front of him. Beezley also left the scene without making contact with the driver that he struck. Police later located him and arrested him for driving while suspended and for leaving the scene of an accident. Damages: up to $10,000
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Monday, July 21, 8:06 p.m. 302 W. Market St. Drivers: Tammy J. Rockey, 54, West Market Street, Warsaw; and Shawn W. Adams, 36, West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Rockey backed from a parking spot and hit the front passenger’s side corner of Adams vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
Monday, July 21, 3:25 p.m. Lake City Highway and East Old Road 30. Drivers: Michael A. Walker, 59, East Court, Bolingbrook, Ill.; and Scott A. Makinson, 19, Hartzler Street, Warsaw. Walker said he was eastbound on the highway when he saw the traffic light turn to yellow. He was not able to stop his semi in time and struck Makinson’s vehicle that was stopped, waiting to make a left turn. Walker was cited for not using the truck lane and for traveling too fast in a work zone. Damages: up to $2,500
Monday, July 21, 1:36 p.m. East Market Street and South Park Avenue. Drivers: Kensey L. Nieveen, 21, East Old Road 30, Warsaw; and Asia L. Popenfoose, 17, East Market Street, Warsaw. Nieveen ran into the back of Popenfoose’s vehicle, which was stopped, waiting to turn onto Park Avenue. Damages: up to $1,000
