Harold K. French
Harold K. French, 85, of Grace Village Retirement Community, at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014, at Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.
He was born on Feb. 11, 1929, in Shanghai, China, to Orville William French and Aileen B. (Kenrick) French. On June 23, 1951 he was married to Ruth Helen ‘Peaches’ (Endicott) French, who survives in Winona Lake.
He pastored several churches in Michigan, Kansas, and California throughout his life, and most recently had been attending Community Bible Church of Warsaw. Harold also retired in 1991 from RR Donnelley & Sons Company in Warsaw after 18 years of service.
He is survived by four sons: Dwight Gordon (Amy) French, San Jose, Calif.; Kent Alan (Evelyn) French, Tucson, Ariz.; John Travis (Jackie) French, Warsaw, Ind.; Andrew Adoniram French, Winona Lake, Ind.; three daughters: Susan Marguerite Aderman, Warsaw; Mary Maethorne (Bob) Trombadore, Virginia; Elizabeth Ann (Jim) Milliman, Fort Wayne, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; and his sister: Pauline M. McClain, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
His memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Grace Village Retirement Community, at the Grace Village Chapel, 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, Indiana and officiated by Reverend John French. A private family graveside service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
