Arden Eugene Tusing
Arden Eugene Tusing, 71, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 11:05 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014, at V.A. Northern Indiana Health Care System in Marion, Ind.
He was born on June 1, 1943, in Warsaw, Ind., to Chester Tusing and Verna (Warren) Tusing. On Feb. 22, 1963, he was married to Nancy Ann Blackstone, who passed away on Sept. 11, 2007.
Arden served in the U.S. Navy from Aug. 25, 1960, until his honorable discharge on March 23, 1964. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., where he worked as a delivery driver in the RV industry, and he retired in 2006 from Explorer Van in Warsaw. He was a member and past Commander of the V.F.W. Post #1126 in Warsaw, as well as a member of the American Legion Post #49 in Warsaw, and the American Legion Post #154 in Nappanee.
He leaves behind three sons: Robert (Donna) Tusing, Mesquite, Texas; William (Laura) Tusing, Bloomington, Ind.; Brian (Deana) Tusing, Warsaw; five grandchildren: Christopher, Anthony, Ryan, Rebecca and Cameron Tusing; one great-granddaughter: Mia Tusing; and his sister: Dorothy Snowden, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother; and two sisters.
No visitation is planned, a private graveside service will be conducted at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, and officiated by Pastor Jeff Pfeifer.
Memorial donations may be directed to the V.F.W. Post #1126, 1350 W. Center St., Warsaw, 46580 and would be appreciated by his family. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home.
