Marsh Officially Files For Sheriff
Travis C. Marsh officially filed as independent candidate for Sheriff of Kosciusko County on Tuesday.
The required petitions were certified after being turned in on June 7. The requirements having been met will place Travis C. Marsh on the ballot in the November election.
Marsh is a 22-year veteran of law enforcement, an adjunct faculty member at Ivy Tech, a small business owner, and he has served on several area police departments. He spent the most time of his law enforcement career at the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department from 1997 to 2007, serving 8 of those years as detective sergeant.
Marsh seeks to bring a new leadership style to the KCSD and to update several areas of operations. Marsh seeks to pursue accreditation of the department as well as dedicating officers for juvenile cases, warrants and crime prevention.
