WCHS Building Trades Class Hosts Open House
The Building Trades class of the Warsaw Area Career Center will be hosting an open house from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3. The house is located at Cherry Creek Manor, 2028 E. Blossom Ln., Warsaw. Watch for “open house” signs.
This is the 32nd year for the Building Trades Program in Warsaw Community Schools under the direction of instructor Tom Heiman. A total of 22 students, have worked on the home owned by Jerad and Angela Thompson. The students have been involved in framing, roofing, siding, insulating, dry walling, painting, trimming, concrete work, window and door installation and finishing lawn and landscaping.
The home is a one-story ranch style house built on a full unfinished basement with 9-foot concrete walls and is approximately 3,400 square feet. The home is heated with a high efficiency gas furnace and has been installed with central air and Anderson double-hung windows. The exterior is stone and vinyl with a large screened-in back porch.
The students that worked on the home are Nicholas Adams, Luis Alvarez, Michael Ammerman, Brandon Bergman, Jonathan Brown, Shane Brown, Tyler Campbell, Skyler Compton, Justin Dutton, Justin Gray, Jordan Greenberg, Oliver Jarrett, Trent Landrigan, Travis Lane, Damen Lowery, Michael Mills, Brandon Ousley, Aaron Pettigrew, Cameron Sumwalt, Tristyn Tenney, Kyle Wagner and Joshua Wogoman.
