Warsaw Having Spring Leaf Pick-Up
The city of Warsaw has announced it will have a spring leaf pick-up. Beginning April 21, large piles of leaves can be raked to the curb or alley.
Leaves will be picked up on residents regular trash day and need to be out by 7 a.m. The leaf truck will be out the week of April 21 and April 28.
Sticks or other trash in the leaf piles are not prohibited. Small piles will need to be bagged or boxed and will be picked up on your regular trash day.
As a reminder, leaves cannot be raked into the streets and gutter lines. This clogs the stormwater catch basins and creates drainage issues that can lead to flooding.
Also, in observance of Good Friday, Warsaw city offices will be closed Friday, April 18. Friday’s trash route will be picked up on Thursday, April 17.
All trash needs to be out by 7 a.m., bagged and placed in a container no larger than 32 gallons with a tight fitting lid and handles.
