Vikings Fall In Opener
WALKERTON – The bats were cold on a warm and windy Monday for the Tippecanoe Valley baseball team.
The Vikings managed just one hit in dropping a 5-1 decision at John Glenn in their season opener.
The hosts Falcons only had three hits in notching the win.
Drake Hyden had the lone hit for Valley. Senior standout Tanner Andrews, who will play at Purdue, had a run scored and a stolen base for the Vikings.
Eric Hammer took the pitching loss for the Vikings.
Valley (0-1) hosts Elkhart Central April 12 in a doubleheader starting at 10 a.m.
