Wawasee Reworks Trio Of Events
SYRACUSE – Wawasee High School has moved three athletic events scheduled for the coming days.
The boys and girls track meets with West Noble were moved from this Thursday, March 27, to next Thursday, April 3. The start time is also pushed back to 5 p.m. to accommodate West Noble’s extended school day. The boys meet will be at Wawasee, while Westview’s girls track team will join the Warriors for a triangular at West Noble.
Speaking of Westview, given the success of the Westview boys basketball program and the 2-A state game this Saturday, the season opening softball game between Wawasee and Westview has been postponed. The softball game will now take place Saturday, May 3, at approximately 12:30 p.m. at Wawasee. The game will follow Wawasee’s originally scheduled game with East Noble at Wawasee, a 10 a.m. start.
The Wawasee track programs are scheduled to take part in the Jim Eger Invitational this Saturday morning at Elkhart Memorial. The softball program is scheduled to now open its season Monday at Lakeland. Baseball is scheduled to open Tuesday against Bethany Christian and girls tennis Thursday at Central Noble.
