Grace’s Rex Earns Track Honor
WINONA LAKE – Grace College senior Jonathan Rex earned the Crossroads League Men’s Track Athlete of the Week on Monday following a meet to remember over the weekend.
Rex had a part in three first-place finishes at the Trine Invitational on Friday, leading a strong showing for Grace’s track and field program.
He anchored the distance medley relay to first place and helped the 4x400m relay to another win. He also beat out 10 other runners in the 800 in a time of 2:02.84 for his third first-place result of the day.
The Lancers have two remaining indoor meets – NCCAA Indoor Nationals next weekend in Bourbonnais, Ill., and NAIA Indoor Nationals starting March 6 in Geneva, Ohio.
