UPDATE: Teen Runaway Located, Safe
Jeremy Hughes is breathing a sigh of relief tonight after his daughter, a teen runaway, was found and is safe.
Missing since 6:30 p.m. Saturday from her grandparents home in Burket, Jordan Hughes, 16, seemingly just vanished without a trace. “She asked her grandparents if she could walk down the street to her cousin’s house and she never made it,” Jeremy told StaceyPageOnline.com early Wednesday morning. Tonight, Jeremy said his daughter was found with the man she was communicating with on Facebook, 21-year-old Michael Wagner. A police report filed by Jordan’s grandfather, and confirmation from Jeremy, says the Tippecanoe Valley High School freshman was talking with Wagner through social media but, he failed to respond to messages sent to him through Jordan’s account after the girl disappeared.
Jeremy said his daughter was located by police and taken to the Allen County juvenile detention center where she is being held until she has a court date. Jordan is on probation for running away once before. This latest incident is a violation of her probation.
Jeremy credited this website for alerting the public and ultimately helping police locate Jordan. And, according to him, Wagner has not been arrested, but no other information is yet known.
