NLC Swim Finals Postponed
MIDDLEBURY – Heavy snow in the area has pushed back the Northern Lakes Conference Boys Swimming Championships.
The finals were already altered in anticipation of the snow, with diving preliminaries having been held Friday night rather than the customary Saturday morning. With the snow hitting the area, tournament officials at Northridge decided to err on the side of caution and Monday night will be the new night for the finals.
The swimming and diving finals will begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday night at Northridge.
Warsaw has three top seeds for the finals based of preliminary swims Thursday. Jayden Parrett is the top seed in the 100 freestyle (49.19) and the backstroke (53.87) while teammate Spencer Davidson is the top seed in the breaststroke (1:00.78) and is the second-seed in the 50 freestyle (22.94).
Northridge, which went 7-0 and handed Warsaw its only loss in NLC round robin action, holds the top seed in the other eight swim events heading into the finals.
