Warsaw Bowling Teams Shine
WARSAW – The Warsaw bowling teams tradition of success continues.
The girls team captured the Wabacanoe Sectional championship, while the boys squad was runner-up. The pair of teams claimed the honors this past weekend in Logansport.
The teams, both of whom will advance to the Regional Feb. 1 in Bluffton, were conference champions.
Taylor Fouts was the individual sectional singles champion on the girls’ side. Fouts defeated teammate Tier Morrow in a roll-off in the finals. The pair of Warsaw bowlers are also step sisters.
Jacob Sudlow of the Warsaw team was sectional singles runner-up in the boys’ competition.
The trio of Fouts, Morrow and Sudlow will compete in singles at the Regional, along with teammates Breanna Kiser and Jimmy Pifer.
Cory Hersha, a student at Whitko High School, earned the sectional singles championship. Hersha out rolled a field of 43 other bowlers to claim the title.
