A tip led Warsaw narcotics officers to a “significant” methamphetamine manufacturing operation in southern Kosciusko County Tuesday night that ultimately landed a North Manchester man in jail.

Warsaw Police detectives initially responded to a Warsaw residence where they were provided with a tip that meth was being manufactured at 11834 S. Peru Road, Silver Lake. At that residence, officers spoke with Jeff Gable and observed marijuana on a table, which prompted them to seek a search warrant.

With the search warrant obtained, officers located finished methamphetamine and precursors used to the manufacture the drug in the residence. Jeff D. Gable, 49,  of North Manchester, was subsequently arrested on the following charges: dealing/delivering/manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of chemical reagents or precursors and possession of meth paraphernalia.

Gable was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail and, as of today, was being held on a prosecutor’s hold with no bond.

The Indiana State Police clandestine lab team was called to the home and cleared the scene.

Warsaw Police continue to diligently work to reduce the influence of methamphetamine in the community by being aggressive toward stopping the use, manufacture and possession of it. Warsaw drug tips can be called into the Warsaw Police Department at 574-372-9540.
