Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Thursday, Dec. 26, 7:11 p.m. South 200 West and West 1200 South, Silver Lake. Driver: Jeff D. Gable, 49, North Manchester. Driver struck two deer. Damages: up to $10,000
Thursday, Dec. 26, 11:32 a.m. South SR 13 and East Shoop Road, Pierceton. Driver: Nancy V. Stoddard, 79, EMS R4 Lane, Pierceton. Stoddard told police the sun was in her eyes. When she adjusted the visor, she drove off the side of the road and overcorrected, causing the the vehicle to strike a stop sign. Damages: up to $5,000
Thursday, Dec. 26, 9:35 a.m. South Packerton Road and East 800 South, Warsaw. Driver: Tascha D. Lester, 38, North Mill Street, North Manchester. Lester was northbound on Packerton Road when she drove off the road and lost control, striking a utility pole and some landscape bushes. Damages: up to $2,500
Thursday, Dec. 26, 12:07 a.m. North 175 East and East 75 North, Warsaw. Driver: Francisco Ybarra, 19, East Hendricks Street, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $1,000
Syracuse Police Department
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Thursday, Dec. 26, 4:48 p.m. 508 N. Parkway Dr., Syracuse. Driver: Cortney M. Rassi, 18, North Parkway Drive, Syracuse. Rassi was backing from a parking space and struck a NIPSCO pole. Damages: up to $5,000
