GOSHEN – Wawasee faced a little adversity Thursday for the first time in a couple weeks, needing to hold on for a 29-26 win at Goshen in boys freshman hoops.
Tim Conley led Wawasee with 10 points, four rebounds and hit all four of his free throw attempts. Carter Jones helped the Wawasee cause with seven points and Allen Miller chipped in six points and six boards.
“Good to win the first conference game,” said Wawasee freshman coach Vince Rhodes. “Close game the entire way. Good to see the boys handling pressure defense a little better.”
Wawasee (4-1) will travel to Westview this Saturday.
