Jealousy, Alcohol Erupt In ‘Pistol Whipping’
Jealousy and alcohol did not mix well for a Warsaw man who was arrested early this morning when he used a gun to hit another man. Warsaw Police arrested Jordan Scott, 22, for allegedly “pistol whipping” another man.
Police were called around 12:45 a.m. to Canterbury Apartments off of Husky Trail where the incident was said to have occurred. According to a police report, Scott had been drinking with several friends when he became jealous over his girlfriend and another man. Scott, who does have an Indiana lifetime permit to carry a concealed weapon, pulled out a 9mm handgun and used it to strike the victim in the forehead.
The assault caused the victim to sustain several lacerations and contusions to the head. He declined EMS at the scene but did go seek treatment at the hospital. Scott left the scene before police arrived but was located a few hours later and taken into custody
without incident.
Scott has been initially charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, and battery resulting in serious bodily injury/aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, both Class C felonies. He was also charged with felony intimidation against his girlfriend. He is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $750,000 surety bond.
