Food Donations Accepted During Wawasee-Manchester Game

Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted during Friday’s boys basketball game at Wawasee High School between Wawasee and Manchester. A collection box will be available.

The donations are in conjunction with the Heat Up the Night event planned by the Warrior Leadership Committee at WHS. After Friday’s game, from midnight until 6 a.m. Saturday, students will stay in tents outside on the school grounds as a way to empathize with the homeless.

Food items will then be given to the three local food pantries in Syracuse, North Webster and Milford. Students will be given “tech” minutes where they are permitted to use technology based on the number of food items donated.

For more information about donating food or how you may be able to help in other ways, call WHS at (574) 457-3147.
