Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Saturday, Nov. 23, 7:59 a.m. North 500 East and East 950 North, Warsaw. Driver: Matthew R. Stamm, 22, Gilliam Drive North, Warsaw. Driver struck a raccoon, resulting in front end damage to his vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Nov. 22, 6:03 p.m. North 175 East and EMS C24 Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Jason E. Mickley, 39, East Cassandra Drive, Syracuse. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, Nov. 22, 8:29 a.m. South 400 West and West 200 South, Warsaw. Driver: Chassidy E. Bays, 18, South 875 West, Claypool. Bays said she looked down for a second and ran off the road, striking a mailbox and driving into a ditch. Damages: up to $2,500

Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Sunday, Nov. 24, 12:08 a.m. South Zimmer Road and West Winona Avenue. Driver: Mary Beth B. Alvey, 64, EMS T13 Lane, Leesburg. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, Nov. 23, 6:44 p.m. 320 Nuthatch Dr. Driver: Rachael L. Hoffert, 33, Nuthatch Drive. Hoffert backed into a parked vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, Nov. 23, 5:02 p.m. West Winona Avenue and South Zimmer Road. Driver: Shawn P. Carlson, 44, West Crystal Flash Road, Warsaw. Carlson’s vehicle hit ice on the road, causing him to lose control, run off the road and collide with a NIPSCO utility pole. A passenger in the vehicle complained of knee pain but signed off on medical treatment. Damages: up to $5,000
Saturday, Nov. 23, 2:14 p.m. Frontage and Access roads. Drivers: Linda K. Bussard, 65, East Wade Road, Warsaw; and Larry D. Honeycutt, 55, North 175 East, Warsaw. Bussard stopped at the stop sign, but proceeded to turn right and collided with Honeycutt. Damages: up to $1,000
Saturday, Nov. 23, 9:56 a.m. Poor Drive and North Detroit Street. Driver: Harriet E. Young, 65, East U.S. 30, Pierceton. Young struck a parked vehicle while attending a free turkey giveaway. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Nov. 22, 11:29 p.m. South Scott Street and East Winona Avenue. Drivers: Benjamin D. Bergman, 18, South 400 East, Claypool; and Jenna R. Freeman, 26, 7th Street, Winona Lake. Bergman was at the stop light when he backed up and collided with Freeman’s vehicle, which he was unable to see due to the exhaust fumes coming from his truck. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Nov. 22, 9:16 p.m. Husky Trail and Canterbury Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Patrick S. Johnson, 20, Kuder Lane, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $1,000
Friday, Nov. 22, 1:59 p.m. East Main Street and North Colfax Street. Drivers: Steven J. Alfano, 63, West Sycamore Hill Lane, Silver Lake; and Charlene E. Renier, 33, East Wooster Road, Pierceton. Renier was attempting to park when Alfano pulled from an alley and struck her vehicle. Damages: up to $1,000
Friday, Nov. 22, 11:51 a.m. Walton Boulevard and Sheldon Street. Drivers: P. George Roth, 58, West Mulberry Street, South Whitley; and Trey A. Hall, 18, East Smith Street, Warsaw. Roth crossed the center line of the Walton Boulevard and collided with Hall’s vehicle head on. Damages: up to $10,000
