Robert E. ‘Bob’ Anderson
Robert E. “Bob” Anderson, 63, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 2:05 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, with his family by his side in the Marion VA Hospital, Marion, Ind.
He was born July 1, 1950, in Warsaw, to Wesley R. and Dorothy (Hamman) Anderson. He was a 1968 graduate of Warsaw High School and entered the United States Army on Aug. 29, 1969. He served two tours in Viet Nam. SP4 Robert Eugene Anderson was honorably discharged May 15, 1970, from Fort Hood, Texas.
Robert was, by trade, licensed in heating, air conditioning and refrigeration. He lived and worked for several years in the Warsaw area after returning from the service, then in Fort Wayne, Ind., where, for 15 years, he maintained several apartment buildings with KP Rental Properties.
He enjoyed working with his hands and spending time with his friends.
He is survived by a sister: Sue (Jim) Sonnefield, Marion; two nephews: Jon (Amy) Newell, Silver Lake, Ind.; Brian (Theresa) Newell, Silver Lake; two nieces: Amanda Sonnefield, Marion; and Lauren Sonnefield, Marion; several cousins, great nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father: Wesley Anderson; his mother: Dorothy Anderson; and a sister: Barbara Wineland.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Sonnefield, his brother-in-law, of Lakeview Wesleyan Church, Marion. Military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126. Burial is to follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
