Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Tuesday, Sept. 3, 4:37 a.m. County Farm Rd., Warsaw. Driver: David J. Burnette, 43, W. Lake St., Laketon. Burnette was northbound on County Farm Rd. when a deer ran in front of his vehicle causing a collision. Damages: up to $2,500
Tuesday, Sept. 3, 6:58 a.m. N. 300 W., Warsaw. Driver: Alexis Travis, 18, W. 550 N., Warsaw. Travis struck a deer that ran into the path of her vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Tuesday, Sept. 3, 10:43 a.m. Detroit and Main Streets. Drivers: Linda Record, 63, S. 350 E., Fairmont; Charles Kaltenbach, 69, N. Maple Ave., Warsaw. Record was southbound on Detroit St. when she entered the Main St. intersection on a red light causing a collision with Kaltenbach who was westbound. Damages: up to $5,000
Tuesday, Sept. 3, 4:04 p.m. Frontage Rd. Driver: George Anderson, 14, Inwood Circle, Syracuse. Anderson was driving westbound on a moped on Frontage Rd. when he rear-ended a vehicle who stopped quickly ahead of him. Anderson had scratches and small cuts on his elbows and was checked out by EMS on scene. Damages: under $750
Syracuse Police Department
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Wednesday, Sept. 4, 3:33 a.m. 1290 N., Syracuse. Driver: Unknown. Police found a green chevy blazer that was rolled over on its top in the middle of 1290 N. near 875 E. The vehicle had been abandoned and is registered to Daniel Klaybor, of Northshore Dr., Syracuse. Damages: up to $25,000
