Millard Burchett
Millard Burchett, Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 4:05 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2013, in his residence.
He was born June 16, 1931, to John S. and Virgie (Harville) Burchett in Emma, Ky. Surviving is his wife, Elizabeth “Libby” (Woods) Burchett, with whom he had a wonderful marriage and shared everything right up to the end.
Millard was employed at Zimmer Inc. for 25 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed going to yard sales with Libby, even with his illness, and she took him to many yard sales. He was a very quiet and gentle man who had a tender loving heart. While a wonderful family member is lost, Heaven gained a new angel.
He is also survived by sons: Danny Burchett and Bobby Burchett, both of Warsaw; a daughter: Patty Reynolds, Kendallville, Ind.; a grandson: Darren, Warsaw; four additional grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother: Walter (Jean) Burchett, Warsaw; a sister: Pearl Livingood, Ohio; a sister-in-law: Mary Gladys Burchett, Warsaw; and a number of nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Wendy Burchett; his parents; brothers: Flem Wesley “Bud” and James Estill “Jack” Burchett; and sisters: Josephine Humphreys, Pauline Burchett Jarvis and Lucille Goble Thomas.
Calling hours are scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, in the Funeral Chapel. Pastor Woody Burchett will officiate the services. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
