Officers of the North Webster Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Saturday, July 27, 6:48 p.m. South Main Street. A vehicle driven by Chastity L. Maust, SR 19, Elkhart, struck a NIPSCO pole guide wire. No other information given.
Saturday, July 27 2:34 a.m. East Washington Street. A vehicle owned by Kenneth Smith, Pleasant Street, Kendallville, was struck by an unknow suspect who left the scene. Investigation continues.
Friday, July 25, 1:08 p.m. South Main Street. A vehicle driven by Nicole L. Smith, SR 5, Larwill, struck a vehicle driven by Bradley T. Bookout, Augusta Blvd., Yorktown. No other information given.
Wednesday, July 24, 4:21 p.m. East 400N. Vehicles driven by Victor A. La Barbera, North 925E, and Jamie I. Close, East 400N, Leesburg, collided. No other information given.
Tuesday, July 23, 3:51 p.m. Backwater Road. Vehicle driven by Nola I. Marshall, EMS W17 Lane, struck a deer. She continued on to work and reported accident later. No other information given.
Tuesday, July 16, 8:09 p.m. South Mulberry Street. A semi-truck struck an overhead cable wire belonging to Comm-Cast Cable and attached to the home of Dennis and Julie Waszak. North Webster Fire Department assisted.

Officers of the North Webster Police Department recently investigated the following incidents:
- Monday, July 29, 10:29 p.m. East Washington Street. A suspect stole a checkbook from a parked vehicle owned by Elmer Schwartz, U.S. 6, Syracuse. Investigation continues.
- Saturday, July 27, West Washington Street, 2 p.m. Kimberly Henwood, North Harrison Street, Syracuse, reported $40 missing from a wallet that was returned to her. She left her wallet in a friend’s car overnight.
- Thursday, July 25, 10:22 p.m. Albert Eckert Drive. Casey Collins reported that his house was egged.
- Tuesday, July 23, 11:50 p.m. North Main Street. A tan and brown Ford Explorer left Circle K without paying for $27.78 in fuel.
- Monday, July 22, 4:20 p.m. Backwater Road. Patty S. Smith reported her passenger side window on her vehicle had been broken sometime overnight.
- Sunday, July 21, 3:06 p.m. South Main Street. Jo Anna Diecks, EMS T6 Lane, Leesburg, returned home after shopping and discovered damage to the rear taillight on vehicle.
- Saturday, July 20, 9:18 p.m. East Washington Street. Sam Stimmel reported a burglary at California Dreamin’. Kosciusko County Deputy Sheriff assisted.
- Saturday, July 20, 11:07 a.m. Locally. Money was reported taken from the Cub Scout Pack’s Popcorn fundraiser between September and October, 2012. Investigation is ongoing.
- Tuesday, July 16, 4:54 p.m. Locally. A male and female were issued verbal trespass warning for two different locations.
- Tuesday, July 16, 1:37 p.m. Locally. Physical force case.
- Sunday, July 14, 11:12 p.m. EMS T13 Lane, Leesburg. Kathy Thomas, Katy Did It, discovered a young man had taken her Stihl leaf blower and other items and left with them.
