Rosemary Vickery
Rosemary Vickery, 87, of Muncie, Ind., and formerly of Barbee Lake, Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 5:20 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, in Mason Health Care & Rehab in Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Anderson, Ind., to Ernest and Louise (Mann) Gooding.
She graduated in 1944 from Anderson High School and was married Aug. 3, 1946, in Anderson to Arthur Joseph Vickery, who survives. She lived most of her life in Anderson; Akron, Ohio; Barbee Lake and Port Charlotte, Fla., before moving to Muncie in 2004. She was a retired waitress at several restaurants, including Holiday Inn in Warsaw, Don’s Barbeque in Anderson and Hilton Hotel in Port Charlotte, Fla.
She is survived by her husband: Arthur Vickery, Mason’s Health Care in Warsaw; two daughters: Nadine (William) Mowery, North Webster, Ind.; and Phyllis Mann, Niles, Mich.; three sons: Robert (Ellen) Vickery, Warsaw; Joseph (Nancy) Vickery, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Daniel (Mary) Vickery, Muncie; and 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchidren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons: Arthur William “Butch” Vickery and James David Vickery; a brother: Ernest Vickery; and two sisters: Erma Jean and Phyllis.
Private family services will be held. Burial will take place in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
