Beaman Home Hosts Tournaments To Raise Funds
During the month of July, the Beaman Home will host two tournaments in order to raise funds to renovate and move into the Domestic Violence Emergency Shelter Outreach Center so they increase occupancy size.
The fundraising goal is $100,000, and currently the Beaman Home has a grant from the K21 Health Foundation that will match the amount of any donations to help reach this goal.
In order to bring in funds, they will host both a kickball tournament and a Wiffle ball tournament. All proceeds from these events will go directly to the Beaman Home. Both of these tournaments will be round robin and tourney play.
The kickball tournament will begin at 9 a.m. July 20, at Lakeland Christian Academy. Registration for each team costs $35 before July 15 or $45 after. Each team must contain from nine to 12 people.
The Wiffle ball tournament will take place at 9 a.m. July 27, at Lakeland Christian Academy. Registration for each team costs $50 before July 22 or $60 after. Each team must consist of four to six people.
