Robbery Suspect Arrested Near Milford
Andrew Ormanovich, 20, of Nappanee, was arrested by Milford Police at Waubee Trailer Park, south of Milford, Tuesday afternoon. He is allegedly connected to a robbery at Neighborhood Convenience Store, 1712 Oakland Ave., Elkhart, at 8 p.m. June 15.
Police received a tip that Ormanovich was at one of the homes in the park. He was found hiding in the trailer and was apprehended without incident. Milford authorities transported the suspect to Goshen where he was turned over to Elkhart city police.
Two other suspects, Joshua Bagwell, 19, also of Nappanee, and Justin Kearney, 25, of New Paris, had been arrested June 23 and June 24 respectively on preliminary charges of robbery. A fourth individual, Kala Losee, no age or town available, was arrested earlier today.
During the robbery, one of the individuals grabbed the owner from behind, placing him in a headlock and pushing him to the ground while the other individual looked for money. When the store owner attempted to scare the men out of the store with a golf club, both males started hitting him. One of the suspects took the golf club and hit the owner. The owner suffered neck, legs and chest injuries.
Approximately $2,000 was taken and a surveillance video was able to allow police to identify the suspects.
