Special Events for Summer Reading Program
Our next Family Story Time will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 21. Maureen Haab is the guest storyteller and the theme for the week is “Colors!” On Friday, June 28, Margaret Cousin’s theme will be Numbers and Counting. Listen to “Ten, Nine, Eight,” by Molly Bang and other books about numbers. You may still sign up for Story Time in the Children’s department of the library.
Sign up has begun for this summer’s second Food and Fun Day which will be at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26. The program is limited to first 25 children (per session), so sign up soon. The theme for the day will be dinosaurs. Come make paper plate dinosaurs, dinosaur eggs and, of course, a snack.
Computer Classes at MPL
Computers can be intimidating if you do not know how to use one. Now you have an opportunity to learn anything from the basics to more specific tasks, such as downloading an eBook or song or writing a resume. A library volunteer will be available for one-on-one computer instructions this summer at MPL. Instruction will be offered from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday evenings and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays afternoons. If interested, please call the Milford Public Library at 574-658-4312 to get on the schedule.
