The winning ways on the basketball court continued even overseas for a talented group of young ladies from Warsaw.

The Class of 2017 Lady Tigers, a team made up of nine players who will be incoming freshman at WCHS this fall, won the championship of a tournament in Ireland.

The team, coached by Joe Graham, is currently on a tour of Ireland and Scotland as one final trip together. The nine young ladies, who make up the team, have been playing together for several years.

The squad went 3-1 to win the Hard 2 Guard U15 Tournament played in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. The team defeated the Liffey Celtics 31-22 in the championship game after losing to them earlier in the tournament.

The team, which left Warsaw last week, will continue its trip with more games and cultural events before returning to Warsaw early next week.

The Class of 2017 Lady Tigers team includes Abby Glass, Mary Ann Marandet, Alyssa Atkins, Madison Martz, Dayton Groninger, Mariah Rivera, Kenzie Welk, Allison Miller and Madison Graham.
