Arletta Jean Stengel
Arletta Jean Stengel, 62, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away late Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Kosciusko Community Hospital where she had been a week.
She was born March 30, 1951, in Goshen, Ind., to Mildred Irene (Firestone) Stengel and Calvin Darnell. She married Richard Lee Stengel, Sr., April 11, 1975, in Goshen.
A Warsaw resident since 1976, Mrs. Stengel worked at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw, until suffering a stroke. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing pool, camping and her tiny Chihuahua.
She is survived by her husband; two sons: Eugene ‘Jack’ Sleezer Sr., Westville, Ind.; Richard Lee (Mandy Kennedy) Stengel Jr. Milford, Ind.; three grandsons: Jacob Crisler; Robert Lee Sleezer; Eugene ‘Jack’ Sleezer, Jr.; two sisters: Olivia June Frain, her twin, Warsaw; and Connie Darnell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Bobbie Darnell; and a sister: Phyllis Willard.
Visitation will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, June 10, at the funeral home. Pastor Roy Blake will officiate. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery, Millersburg, Ind.
