Linda Mae Miller
Linda Mae Miller, 89, of Nappanee, Ind., passed away at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at The Maples in Goshen, Ind., where she had been a resident for two weeks.
She was born May 29, 1923, in Nappanee to Moses J. and Maude E. (Hochstetler) Miller. She lived her lifetime in this area. On May 11, 1943, she married Homer D. Miller in Nappanee. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 2008.
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a faithful pastor’s wife for many years. She was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church.
Surviving are daughters: Katie (Glen) Bontrager, Wakarusa, Ind.; Ina (Dale) Slabaugh, Nappanee; Sara (Joni) Schrock, Madison, Ind.; Maria (Vernon) Bacher, West Minster, S.C.; a son: Lyle (Ada) Miller, Nappanee; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; brothers: Olen (Katie) Miller, Hartwell, Ga.; Herman (Anna Marie) Miller, Marshfield, Wiscon.; John William (Jane) Miller, Bremen, Ind.; and Gilbert Lee (Mary Kathryn) Miller, Nappanee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a stillborn son: Delbert; and infant brothers: Mervin and Monroe Miller.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 22, at Bethel Mennonite Church. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at the church. Pastor Calvin Yoder will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
