Accidents
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Wednesday, March 13, 12:31 a.m. West 400 North and North 150 West, Warsaw. Driver: Daniel L. Buckholz, 27, West Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500

Tuesday, March 12, 10:25 p.m. North SR 15 north of Plum Street, Leesburg. Driver: Jerry W. Creekmore, 39, Henderson Drive, Warsaw. Creekmore lost control on the ice-covered road and went off the road and into a water-filled ditch and an earth embankment. Damages: up to $5,000

Tuesday, March 12, 4:11 p.m. North Fox Farm Road south of CR 200 North, Warsaw. Driver: James B. Wallen, 20, Paxton Drive, Warsaw. Wallen was operating a van that collided head-on into a tree and a utility pole causing the power lines to fall. Wallen was taken by ambulance to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment of stomach pain. Damages: up to $25,000

Tuesday, March 12, 1:30 a.m. East McKenna Road west of EMS B37 Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Sean J. Madden, 21, Forrest Avenue, Fox Lake, Ill. Madden ran off the road and struck a utility pole. He was operating without a driver’s license and did not have insurance. Damages: up to $5,000

Monday, March 11, 3:02 p.m. South SR 15 and West 200 South, Warsaw. Drivers: Jacqueline S. Kersey, 17, South 200 West, Warsaw; Keith A. Baker, 17, North Side Drive, Warsaw; and Brian K. Method, 45, West 1400 North, North Manchester. Baker was approaching the traffic light in the southbound lane of SR 15 when he saw it turn green and assumed Method, who was stopped, was going to begin driving. Method did not start fast enough and Baker’s vehicle collided into the back of the vehicle. Kersey said she didn’t realize the vehicles were not moving and collided into the back of Baker’s vehicle. Method complained of neck pain and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital by ambulance. Baker sustained a laceration to the head. Damages: up to $50,000
