Annual 5K Walk/Run For Victims Services
McArthur Counseling Center is the gold level sponsor for the Victim Services fourth annual 5K Walk/Run, which will take place on Saturday, April 20, in Winona Lake.
A pre-registration form is available online through April 10 at www.warsaw.in.gov, click on Departments >Police >Victim Services.
All pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt with their $15 entry fee. Entry fees after April 10 and on race day is $20.
Race day registration is 8 a.m. to 8:40 a.m., with the race starting at 9 a.m. from the Winona Lake Town Park. This event is managed by Kosciusko Runners’ Association, with awards in 13 age group categories and special trophies to the first overall male and female runners.
National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is a time to honor victims and the advocates of victims’ rights. After a crime, victims need to know what rights and resources they can count on. For victim advocates, reshaping the future means locating resources for victims who want them and helping new victims.
