Yolanda M. Polston
Yolanda Mae (Dasch) Polston, 83, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, in Grace Village Health Care Winona Lake.
She was born to Neal and Hattie Dasch on Oct. 1, 1929, in Lawrenceville, Ill. On May 21, 1950, she married Porter William Polston. They were
blessed with four children: Bonnie, Randy, Terry and Connie.
In 1953, they left Illinois and moved to Winona Lake to work for the Free Methodist Publishing House. Throughout her life, besides raising four very active children, she worked as a bank teller, in the offices of Kosciusko Community
Hospital and the Warsaw Community School System.
Prior to retiring, she worked for the city of Warsaw and served the city through the city planning office, assisting in the mayor’s office and served on committees as called upon.
The most important job she and dad had was raising their four children in understanding faith, love, service, grace and mercy. Besides her parents, two family members she dearly loved proceeded her home-coming – her husband, Porter Polston; and her son: Terry Polston.
In her final days, she joyfully anticipated seeing her Savior, husband and son.
