John Wayne Slone

Slone, JohnJohn Wayne Slone, 56, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, in his home.

He was born March 30, 1956, in Warsaw to Orville and Mary Elizabeth (Osborne) Slone. He lived his entire life in Warsaw.

John worked at Ameri-Kan in Warsaw and attended God’s Highway to Heaven church.

He is survived by two daughters: Rita (James) Mooney and Elizabeth (Justin) Sprouse, both of Lorain, Ohio; four grandchildren: Kenneth, Dharma, Tyler and Caitlyn; three sisters: Lydia (Lue) Lichlyter, Wakeman, Ohio; Justine Megething, Elizabethtown, Ky.; Sharon (Larry) Kocourek, Greenville, S.C.; four brothers: Daniel Slone, Warsaw; Ronald (Mary) Slone, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; Mark Slone; and Orville Slone, Oklahoma City, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Orville and Mary Elizabeth Slone; and two brothers: Harry Slone and Bob Slone.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7, in the funeral home. Pastor Bob Brown of God’s Highway to Heaven church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
