Syracuse Public Library News
Parents and grandparents, plan to bring your children to story time this March and April. Syracuse Public Library offers story hour at 10:30 a.m. every Monday and Tuesday. All children are welcome to come on one or both days. Monday story times are geared more toward the interests of younger children.
Story times are matched to the typical attention spans and developmental levels of different ages of children while incorporating the early literacy skills children must master before they can learn to read. Young children are actively introduced to books, rhymes and music in a fun way. Each 45-minute program will end with tea. Children love to have tea and chat with Miss Gisela or Miss Esther after story time.
YA New-book Club
Teens can join a group paint project at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 5. No painting skills are required. Young people can meet other book readers while having a snack and looking at the library’s newest books. YA New-book Club is an opportunity to let the library know about the books that young adults want to read.
