Accidents
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Sunday, Feb. 10, 4:59 p.m. Old U.S. 30, Warsaw. Driver: Benjamin L. Brooks, 23, West Jackson Street, Mentone. Driver struck a dog. Damages: up to $5,000
Sunday, Feb. 10, 7:42 a.m. West 900 North, Milford. Driver: Autumn B. Hollar, 16, West 900 North, Milford. Hollar lost control on the icy road and struck a fence and tree. Damages: up to $10,000
Sunday, Feb. 10, 7:21 a.m. North SR 15, Leesburg. Driver: Isaac N. Miller, 22, South Washington Street, Warsaw. Miller lost control of his vehicle on the icy road and struck a tree. Damages: up to $5,000
Sunday, Feb. 10, 6:19 a.m. U.S. 30 near North 350 West, Warsaw. Driver: Jacinto D. Andres, 58, San Diego, Calif. Andres was eastbound on U.S. 30 when he lost control of his semi on the slick road. The semi jack-knifed and rolled into the center media. Damages: up to $50,000
Sunday, Feb. 2, 11:09 p.m. North 800 West and West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: James R. See, 30, Old Colony Road, Warsaw. See said he was eastbound on the Old 30 turning onto 800 West when the driver of a full-sized blue van turned off of 800 West and struck his vehicle. The driver of the blue van left the scene. Damages: up to $2,500
Incidents
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following incidents:
- Feb. 11, 10:21 a.m. Freedom Oil in Etna Green reported an unknown person tried to get phone cards. The activity was reported as fraud.
- Feb. 10, 2 a.m. A suspect in possession of marijuana paraphernalia ran from police in the area of South 600 West, Mentone.
- Feb. 9, 10:38 p.m. Thomas Reiff of Warsaw reported an accident in the area of CRs 650 East 300 East. All of the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene.
