CCS Gives Thanks To GWMA
Dear Editor,
On behalf of the hundreds of people aided by the Gift of Warmth Program, as well as Combined Community Services and its Board of Directors, I would like to personally thank the Greater Warsaw Ministerial Association and its participating churches for its recently collected gift of $27,000. Your contributed donations will, and have helped many community families stay warm this winter.
The Gift of Warmth Program was established to assist people struggling to pay their utility bills. These community members could have lost a job, had medical conditions, or simply could not make ends meet when larger utility bills come due. All people in the program must have a qualifying lower income or difficult situation to receive assistance. The Gift of Warmth Program helps interrupt the disconnect cycle and is essential in reducing the number of accounts receiving disconnect notices that move to actual loss of service.
We are able to match every dollar donated to Combined Community Services for the Gift of Warmth Program. The donations collected by the Ministerial Association will be doubled in financial assistance. These funds will help twice the number of neighbors!
Leading the way on this gift, and the organization of this funding drive, was The New Life Christian Church of Warsaw. Our sincere appreciation goes to them for all of their hard work in helping us help our neighbors in need.
In His Service,
Robyn Palmer, CCS Board President
