Bill Speicher
Bill Speicher, 82, of Milford, Ind., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Greencroft HealthCare, Goshen, Ind.
He was born as Carl William Speicher on Oct. 30, 1930, in Milford to Charles and Pauline (O’Haver) Speicher. He married Joan Kreider who preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 1998.
Born and raised in Milford, Bill was a 1948 graduate of Milford High School. He was a member of the 1948 Milford Trojan Basketball team, the only team in the school’s history without a loss, and he was inducted into the Kosciusko County Hall of Fame in 2011. He was a member of Wawasee Community Bible Church and was employed with Liberty Coach and Chore-Time. Bill enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. He loved his children and grandchildren and will be missed.
He is survived by his son: Larry (Carol) Speicher, Milford; daughter: Carla (Richard) Treesh, Ludington, Mich.; eight grandchildren: Chantel Drake; Eric Speicher; Melody Gordon; Ryan Speicher; Crystal Hartter; Tara Treesh; and Joel Treesh; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Lewis (Mim) Speicher, Milford; and Pat (Sheila) Speicher, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother: Jim Speicher.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Mishler Funeral Home in Milford. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 11, at Wawasee Community Bible Church. Pastor Josh Weiland will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery.
