Patty L. Shafer
Patty L. Shafer, 75, of Kosciusko County, Ind., passed away at 10:04 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, while surrounded by her loving children at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Ind.
She was born April 1, 1937, in Leesburg, Ind., to Lewis and Goldie (Miller) Plew. She was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident and worked at White Metal and managed the Motel 6.
Patty was a member of Warsaw Community Church and enjoyed her family and friends. She loved to cook and was a loving mom and grandma.
She is survived by five daughters: Cindy (Joe) Robinson, Leesburg; Pam (Derek) Halsey, Cromwell, Ind.; Deb Himes, Warsaw; Carolyn (Dan) Dye, Warsaw; and Tammy Shafer, Warsaw; two sons: Doug “Heavy” Plew, Oswego, Ind.; and Phillip (Wendy) Shafer, Leesburg; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Terry Miller; two great-grandchildren; her parents: Lewis Plew and Goldie Sumpter; a sister: Nancy L. Miller; and two brothers: Howard Plew and James Plew.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Pfeifer, Warsaw Community Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
