Accidents
Officer of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Sunday, Feb. 3, 1:05 p.m. West Old Rd. 30 and North 800 West, Atwood. Drivers: Sarah L. Montel, 48, East 1000 South, Claypool; and Lois A. Click, 72, Lakeview Dr., Winona Lake. Montel pulled into the path of Click’s vehicle at the intersection. Montel complained of right shoulder pain. Click complained of lower leg pain. Damages: up to $10,000
Sunday, Feb. 3, 9:38 a.m. North Marine Key Drive and North Majestic Way. Drivers: William A. Raspiller, 49, Bear Creek Court, Leo. Driver lost control on the snow covered road and slid into a parked car. Damages: up to $5,000
Saturday, Feb. 2, 9:32 p.m. D22C Lane, Leesburg. Driver: Kevin G. Gilbert, 24, East 650 North, Syracuse. Gilbert was traveling too fast for road conditions, lost control and sideswiped a tree. Damages: up to $5,000
Saturday, Feb. 2, 12:02 p.m. SR 15, Leesburg. Driver: Brittney M. Routson, 23, North 750 East, Syracuse. Routson lost control on the snow covered road and slid into a ditch. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, Feb. 2, 10:30 a.m. SR 15, Warsaw. Driver: Mark E. Miller, 38, West 150 South, Columbia City. Miller lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered road and struck a utility pole. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, Feb. 2, 2:35 p.m. South 450 East, Warsaw. Driver: Douglas S. Stahl, 45, East 100 South, Pierceton. Driver lost control on the snow covered road while trying to avoid a mail carrier. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, Feb. 2, 1:06 p.m. North 175 East, Warsaw. Driver: Jannett C. Barrios, 26, East 200 North, Warsaw. Driver slid on the road and struck a street sign. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, Feb. 1, 3:32 p.m. West Wildwood Trail, Warsaw. Driver: Katlyn M. Allen, West Wildwood Trail, Warsaw; and Scott Fitterling, 32, South Trail Ridge Road, Warsaw. Allen was not paying attention and struck Fitterling’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Feb. 1, 11:24 p.m. North 300 East, Milford. Driver: Leigh A. Jessop, 25, East Mock Road, Milford. Jessop was driving while intoxicated and struck a utility pole and continued north into a field and jumped an open ditch. Indiana State Police are investigating. Damages: up to $25,000
Friday, Feb. 1, 10:25 p.m. Country Club Road, Warsaw. Driver: David A. Morales, 47, East 550 South, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000
Thursday, Jan. 31, 8:36 a.m. East 350 North, Warsaw. Driver: Leianna A. Gordon, 17, Logan Street, Warsaw. Driver lost control on the snow covered road and slid into a mailbox and a tree. Damages: up to $5,000
Thursday, Jan. 31, 1:08 a.m. North SR 13 and East 150 North, North Webster. Driver: Jessica M. Brimball, 27, West 450 North, Cromwell. Driver lost control on the snow covered road and struck a fence post. Damages: up to $2,500
Wednesday, Jan. 30, 10:43 p.m. East 1300 North and North 775 East, Syracuse. Driver: Joe E. Leach, 24, North 775 East, Syracuse. Driver lost control on the ice covered road. Damages: up to $5,000
Wednesday, Jan. 30, 9:03 p.m. East 300 North and North 400 East, Warsaw. Driver: Ryan P. Mast, 25, East 300 North, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500

- Feb. 3, 12:42 a.m. Kevin Bixler of Warsaw reported damage to his mailbox.
- Feb. 1, 8:28 p.m. A domestic battery was reported in Pierceton.
- Feb. 1, 5:10 p.m. A runaway was reported in Mentone.
- Jan. 31, 8 a.m. Tippecanoe Country Club reported the theft of catalytic converters from two customers.
- Jan. 31, 11:38 a.m. Reynaldo Martinez of Warsaw reported theft from a garage.
- Jan. 31, 12 a.m. Christopher Larue of Pierceton reported buying a vehicle on ebay but never receiving the purchase he paid for.
- Jan. 31, 1:30 p.m. Didage Sales Company of Warsaw reported being the victim of an elaborate scam to obtain medical equipment.
- Jan. 30, 8:20 a.m. David Johnson of Warsaw reported a theft from a vehicle.
- Jan. 30, 5 p.m. Lyle Kime of Warsaw reported a theft of motor vehicle parts/accessories.
- Jan. 30, 5:37 p.m. A North Webster woman reported invasion of a protective order.
- Jan. 30, 6:35 p.m. James D. Ward of Claypool reported a burglary at his residence.
- Jan. 29, 12 a.m. A Syracuse woman reported invasion of privacy.
- Jan. 29, 11:53 p.m. Christopher Clark of Syracuse reported a theft occurred at his home.
