Grace’s Miller Honored
WINONA LAKE – Grace College standout Greg Miller was named the outstanding national player this week with Player of the Week honors from the NAIA, NCCAA and Crossroads League.
Miller, a 6-6 junior forward from Akron who played at North Miami High School, was the central figure behind a pair of Grace wins on the week, including the Lancers’ 80-77 upset of No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan.
He recorded at least 23 points and 10 rebounds in each game, shooting 60.6 percent from the floor in the process. Miller’s Crossroads League Player of the Week award is his fourth such honor this season, which is tops in the league.
Against IWU, Miller converted a three-point play with 38 seconds remaining to break a 75-75 tie and give Grace the lead for good.
The No. 17 Lancers, winners of four in a row, are 17-6 overall and 9-3 in Crossroads League play prior to hosting Spring Arbor tonight.
