Cougars Clipped At Wabash
WABASH – Turnovers and rebounds combined to hurt the Lakeland Christian Academy boys basketball team in a 71-41 loss Tuesday night at Wabash.
The Cougars had 25 turnovers in the loss and also gave up 25 offensive rebounds to the hosts.
Wabash led just 13-11 after the opening period before outscoring LCA 22-8 in the second quarter to lead 35-19 at halftime. The hosts then outscored the Cougars 36-22 in the second half to post the 30-point win.
Calvin Prinsen led the way for LCA with 18 points to go with 10 rebounds. Chris Maron scored six points and Billy Pitts and Logan Mount each had four for coach Lee Compson’s squad.
Tyler Brewer netted 18 points and Breyton Nealis had 17 to lead Wabash.
LCA, now 5-9, plays at Clinton Christian (Goshen) Saturday. Wabash, now 4-8, hosts Whitko Friday night.
