Richard L. Vining
Richard L. Vining, 72, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 4:10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, Ind., after an illness.
Richard was born the son of Willard and Mary Yocum Vining on May 29, 1940, at Warsaw. He was a resident of Warsaw since 1963. Dick was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School class of 1959.Dick worked for Dalton Corporation for over 42 years in the financial department, retiring in September of 2006. Previously he worked at Steel Fabricating of Mishawaka and Associates of South Bend, Ind.
In his past time he enjoyed his family, golfing, salmon fishing, his pets, traveling many different places with his wife and friends and was a volunteer for the Red Cross.
He joined in marriage on Sept. 2, 1961, to Lynne Worsham.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter: Kemilyn (Eric) Schreiber, LaPorte, Ind.; a son: David (Kimberly) Vining, Etna Green, Ind.; two grandchildren: Kyle Megan and Scott Schreiber; and brothers: John (Alice) Vining, Glen Ellyn, Ill.; and Louis (Lois) Vining, McCordsville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Russell Jay Vining.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, in the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, Ind. The family will be planning a celebration of Dick’s life at their home at a later date for friends and family to share their memories. Burial will follow in Summit Chapel Cemetery Bourbon.
The family requests memorial contributions are made to the Animal Welfare League or a charity of your choice in his memory.
