Germ-fighting Technology Receives National Attention
An Indiana company’s germ-fighting technology is receiving national attention as the country deals with one of the worst flu outbreaks in years. Anderson-based Coeus Technology says it has a way to essentially “electrocute” viruses, bacteria and fungi. The company’s time in the national spotlight comes as it moves forward with plans for a manufacturing plant in the Madison County city. President Nate Richardson says the potential for the technology is wide-ranging.
Richardson says the technology has drawn interest from national retailers including The Home Depot Inc., and Lowe’s Companies Inc.
The company launched in the Flagship Enterprise Center in Anderson and recently moved its headquarters to another location.
Richardson says the manufacturing process is currently outsourced, but the company plans to eventually move that to Indiana and create Hoosier jobs.
