Yeo Returns As Triton Rolls
BOURBON – Clay Yeo returned to action in a big way Saturday night.
The Triton star poured in 27 points as the Trojans took care of John Glenn 65-46 in a Northern State Conference contest.
Yeo, an Indiana All-Star candidate, sat out Thursday night’s win over Elkhart Christian due to a concussion suffered in a recent practice. The 6-6 senior guard, who has signed to play at Valparaiso University, is averaging 29 points-per-game this season.
The host Trojans fell behind 20-13 after the opening period to the Falcons Saturday night. Triton outscored Glenn 18-4 in the second quarter to lead 31-24 at halftime and built its lead to 46-30 after the third period.
Tanner Shepherd netted 16 points for the Trojans, who won their fifth straight game. Triton improves to 7-3 overall and 2-0 in the NSC. Cody Shively scored eight points for Triton.
Jacob Strong led Glenn with 18 points. Austen Hayes had 15 for the Falcons, who drop to 1-7 overall and 0-2 in league play.
Triton hosts Culver and Glenn hosts Bremen in NSC contests Friday night.
