Incidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department have recently investigated the following incidents:
- Dec. 18, 7:03 p.m. After a traffic stop, a male driver was arrested for driving on a suspended license at 399 High St.
- Dec. 18, 11 p.m. Amber Bowen reported theft from her apartment at 515 E. Center St.
- Dec. 17, 7:25 p.m. Jeffrey Horning reported a theft at 215 S. Scott St.
- Dec. 17, 8:57 p.m. Officers stopped an individual at a traffic stop who was driving with a suspended license.
Accidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department have recently investigated the following traffic accidents:
- Tuesday, Dec. 18, 1:20 a.m. Walton Boulevard. Drivers: Terry Keefer, 74, Coventry Court., Plymouth; and Laura Huff, South Martin Street, Ligonier. Keefer and Huff backed out of parking spaces and backed into each other. Damages: up to $2,500
- Tuesday, Dec. 18, 1:04 p.m. 2311 E. Center St. Drivers: Kelsey Long, 23, North 800 West, Warsaw; and Vera Shavers, 73, Widaman Street, Winona Lake. Long and Shavers backed out of parking spaces into each other’s vehicles. Damages: up to $5,000
- Tuesday, Dec. 18, 11:15 a.m. Buffalo Street. Drivers: Grace McDonald, 23, North Union Street, Warsaw; and Stacie Ousley, 34, Rosemont Avenue, Warsaw. McDonald attempted to pull out into the traffic lane and collided with Ousley’s vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
- Monday, Dec. 17, 7:25 a.m. Winona Avenue and Northbay Drive. Drivers: Terrie Lytle, 53, Country Club Road, Warsaw; and Linda Ruley, North Colfax Street, Warsaw. Lytle rear ended Ruley’s vehicle. Damages: up to $1,000
- Monday, Dec. 17, 12:54 p.m. Frontage Road. Driver: Jerald Kipker, 55, South 850 West, Akron. While backing out, Kipker struck another parked vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
- Monday, Dec. 17, 8 p.m. North Boeing Road. Driver: Leanne Wellar, 42, West 800 South, Claypool. Wellar was distracted and the vehicle went off the roadway into a ditch. Damages: up to $2,500
